GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Authorities are trying to identify a man whose body was pulled from a canal in western Colorado.

The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports (https://goo.gl/zTJBEv ) the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office was called Sunday morning after a canal worker found the body trapped in a debris trap near Loma.

The victim’s cause and manner of death have not been determined, and investigators say the man’s description does not match any current missing person case in the area.
