MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A man is in custody after a weekend shooting left a Montgomery man dead.

Multiple news outlets report police arrested 39-year-old Demetrius Lamar Saturday after 25-year-old Cordarryl Foxhall was shot in the head at the just before 1 a.m. Saturday morning. He died at the hospital. Police say a second person was shot and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Authorities have not released the identity of the second victim.

Lamar is now in the Montgomery County Detention Facility. He is charged with murder.

No information has been released regarding Lamar’s relationship to the shooting victims or possible circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Police continue to investigate the case.
