NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) - New Britain police are planning a major update in the investigation of human remains found last month at a location where partial remains of three women were found in 2007.

Police say they’ll release “significant new information” at a news conference Monday afternoon.

Police found more skeletal remains April 28 behind a Hartford Road shopping center. The partial remains of 53-year-old Diane Cusack, 23-year-old Joyvaline Martinez and 40-year-old Mary Jane Menard were discovered there eight years ago.

A police task force returned last month with cadaver dog and a forensic anthropologist.

It’s not clear if the newly discovered remains belonged to any of the three women. The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office has been investigating.

Police believe one person killed all three women in 2003. There’s a $150,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.
