OSKALOOSA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say the cause of an overnight fire in Oskaloosa is considered suspicious after a man with burns on his hands reported the blaze to police.

Des Moines television station KCCI reports (https://bit.ly/1Fg9OgM ) fire officials responded around 2 a.m. Monday to the report of flames engulfing an Oskaloosa sporting goods store. The fire was contained by 7 a.m.

Oskaloosa Fire Chief Mark Neff says no charges have been filed in the case, though the cause of the blaze is considered suspicious. He says the man who entered the police station to report the fire is being questioned.

The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his burns.
