NASHVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities near Nashville, Arkansas, have concluded search and rescue efforts after two people were killed and at least two were injured after reports of tornadoes.

Mayor Billy Ray Jones says residents are still cleaning up after reports of tornadoes Sunday night. It’s unclear how many homes were damaged but Jones says at least two people were injured. Jones says there are no people missing.

Howard County Coroner John Gray said a young couple died when a tornado hit their trailer. Their young daughter survived. He did not release names pending notification of relatives.

National Weather Service meteorologists say survey crews will assess the severity of the storms that hit the area. They say preliminary reports indicate more than 20 tornadoes struck areas of the Great Plains.
