ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County police say someone used a window to get inside a Rockville home where a married couple was slain.

Richard and Julianne Vilardo were found dead by a relative at their home on Sunday. Police say they both suffered trauma to the upper body but have not been more specific. Autopsies are being conducted.

Police said Monday that investigators believe someone entered the home through a window. Police say the window wasn’t broken and may not have been latched.

The body of 65-year-old Richard Vilardo was found just outside the rear of the home, and the body of 67-year-old Julianne Vilardo was found inside the home. Police say the Vilardos were known to be alive as recently as Saturday evening.

Richard Vilardo was a businessman and hotel developer.
