SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Scottsdale police say a 47-year-old man died after being dragged by a car which struck him while he was lying on a street.

Sgt. Ben Hoster says a car carrying a man and a woman struck the man on the 8100 block of Thomas Road at about 3 a.m. Monday.

Hoster says the man was dragged several hundred feet before the car came to a stop.

Hoster said the people in the car remained on the scene and are cooperating with investigators.
