LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has announced the second biggest gift ever made to the school in a $20.3 million grant to fund a new visual arts building on campus.

Arkansas Business (https://bit.ly/1G0CtVZ ) reports that school officials announced the gift Monday from the Windgate Charitable Foundation of Siloam Springs.

The building is expected to be open by fall 2017 and will consolidate UALR’s applied design, art history and studio arts programs.

UALR has about 1,000 students enrolled in visual arts classes with 180 visual arts majors this semester.

The school plans to launch a master’s program in 3D studies beginning in the fall of 2016.
