SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - A Utah couple has been arrested in Arizona for allegedly recruiting a 15-year-old runaway to work as a prostitute.

Court records show 28-year-old Christopher Crayton and his 22-year-old girlfriend Linda Arce are being held on $10,000 bond on suspicion of child prostitution related charges.

The two from West Valley City, Utah don’t have lawyers yet.

They were arrested Saturday after police were called to a Scottsdale hotel about reported drug use and prostitution.

Police found the unidentified teenage girl and later determined she was a runaway from nearby Glendale.

She says Crayton and Arce allegedly told her she could make money if she engaged in prostitution in exchange for food and shelter.

The teen told police she met with multiple buyers, but didn’t engage in sex and only gave massages.
