SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Caddo Commissioner Michael Williams faces arraignment on 12 counts of wire fraud in a federal courtroom in Shreveport.

The Times reports (https://bit.ly/1F2Liwp ) Williams will appear at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday before Magistrate Judge Mark L. Hornsby. He is accused of defrauding the Caddo Commission and stealing money from SWAG Nation, an organization aimed at mentoring and counseling at-risk youth.

Williams was indicted in March. He is accused of having urged the commission to appropriate funds for SWAG Nation and then withdrawing more than $2,000 from the organization’s bank account between Oct. 1, 2012, and July 1, 2014.

He faces up to 20 years in prison, five years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine for each count if convicted.
