NEW YORK (AP) - Police say an 83-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a car while crossing the street in Queens.

It happened in front of 118-05 103rd Avenue in Ozone Park.

Officers who responded to a 911 call found the victim lying in the street with severe trauma to the body.

He was taken to a hospital where he died.

Police say the victim had just left his parked car and was crossing the street when he was struck by a 2001 Nissan, whose driver remained on the scene.



The victim was identified as Nfn Loknauth of Queens.
