PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A 20-year-old special needs student is recovering after rocks and construction debris were hurled at her school bus in west Philadelphia.

Authorities say one of the bus’ windows was shattered Monday afternoon when a group of kids pelted it with debris. The woman was hit in the eye when a rock broke the window.

Nine students with special needs, two assistants and a driver were on board the bus at the time of the incident.

The woman’s mother, Gina Clancy, says her daughter will have to go to an eye specialist to remove glass shards from her eye.

No arrests have been made.
