DONIPHAN, Neb. (AP) - The 46th Cornhusker Trapshoot is expected to wrap up Saturday.

The trapshoot began its three-day run on Thursday in Doniphan at the home grounds of the Nebraska Trapshooting Association.

More than 2,500 trapshooters competed this year.

Junior high students competed Thursday, and high school competitors began Friday and will finish up with 75 handicap targets on Saturday.

The event is open to shooters nationwide in grades 6 through 12. Last year’s event drew 933 junior and 1,461 senior high shooters.
