ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A woman suspected of running over a man three times at an Albuquerque apartment complex in February has been arrested.

The Albuquerque Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1JZrk6v) that 21-year-old Britney Encinias was booked Thursday for attempted murder and leaving the scene of an accident causing great bodily harm.

Police say an undercover sheriff’s deputy spotted her car at a motel, leading to the arrest.

According to a criminal complaint, Encinias was asked to leave the complex Feb. 2 by the manager’s husband, Doug Hotalen.

The complaint says Encinias ran Hotalen down when he tried to photograph her license plate.

He suffered multiple injuries including a fractured hip and broken finger and was hospitalized for a week.

Her mother, Trini Encinias, said Friday her daughter doesn’t own a car and is innocent.
