WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - An attempted murder charge has been dismissed against a Washington state man accused of stabbing his roommate in Williston.

KXMB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1DHJzIP) that 25-year-old Joshua Floyd was charged with attempted murder in December of 2014. Officials say he was in a fight with his roommate about money and stabbed him at their Williston hotel room.

Floyd pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. He served 136 days in jail for the two charges and was ordered to be placed on probation for 11 months.

Williams County prosecutors declined to comment on the reason the charge was dropped.
