ENUMCLAW, Wash. (AP) - Washington transportation officials are warning drivers in Enumclaw and Buckley that they can expect delays for the next three weekends as they inspect the White River Bridge on State Route 410.

Officials say maintenance staff will conduct inspections during the next three Saturday mornings.

A routine inspection on April 4 discovered damage on a metal beam on the overhead support structure of the bridge. Officials believe the damage occurred when an oversized load struck the bridge. They shut the bridge down and reopened it on April 11.

An April 26 inspection found that the repairs were holding, but they’ll continue to monitor the site until a permanent fix is completed.
