FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) - A Farmington man has been charged after admitting to fatally shooting another man last year.

The Daily Times says (https://bit.ly/1zmY4GF) 20-year-old Juanito Cordova was charged Friday with murder and tampering with evidence in Farmington Magistrate Court.

According to an arrest warrant, Cordova made the admission in the killing of 22-year-old Seth Stallings while being questioned by Bloomfield police about another shooting.

The complaint documents describe Cordova as later telling Farmington police he was “tired of stressing” about shooting Stallings last September at a Farmington home.

Cordova also told authorities he shot the victim because he was tired of being “punked.”

It’s not clear if Cordova has an attorney.

Police initially arrested a 17-year-old boy in the shooting but charges were dismissed because of a lack of evidence.
