MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota has had four players taken in the NFL draft, the most in nine years.

Three former Gophers were selected Saturday. Linebacker Damien Wilson went in the fourth round with the 127th overall pick to the Dallas Cowboys. Running back David Cobb was taken in the fifth round with the 138th overall selection by the Tennessee Titans. Twelve picks later in the fifth round, safety Cedric Thompson was taken by the Miami Dolphins.

Tight end Maxx Williams was drafted in the second round Friday by the Baltimore Ravens.

The Gophers have had six players drafted in the last two years, after three straight without one.

The last time the Gophers had four players drafted in the same year was 2006, with Laurence Maroney, Anthony Montgomery, Greg Eslinger and Mark Setterstrom.
