CULPEPER, Va. (AP) - Five people face murder and gang-related charges stemming from a fatal stabbing at a Halloween party in Culpeper County.

A Culpeper County grand jury recently indicted 23-year-old Daniel Akordor, 21-year-old Donell Easter, 18-year-old Tonie Jones, 21-year-old Jonathan Milton and 25-year-old Ricardo Powell, all of the Fredericksburg area. All five defendants are scheduled to appear in Culpeper Circuit Court this week.

Each defendant is charged with murder and participating in a crime as a part of a gang. Jones and Milton face additional charges, including malicious shooting at a car.

The Culpeper Star-Exponent (https://bit.ly/1EOb8FB ) reports that the charges stem from the death of 19-year-old Corey Clanagan. Clanagan was stabbed two dozen times at a Halloween party on Nov. 1, 2014.

Police say the killing was gang related.
