CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Five New Hampshire companies will share more than $60,000 in grants to help train new workers.

Gov. Maggie Hassan says the companies will match the grants they receive, enabling them to train a total of 178 workers, many in high tech fields.

Companies receiving grants include Lightec of Merrimack, Osram Sylvania of Hillsboro, K.W. Thompson Tool Co. of Rochester, Creare of Hanover and Benson Woodworking of Walpole.

The state job training fund has awarded more than $7.8 million in grants since October 2007.
