TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - The University of Puget Sound is taking aim at the world record for hopscotch today.

The News Tribune newspaper of Tacoma reports (https://is.gd/y6A1jt ) the record for the longest course is currently 3.5 miles long.

Students and community members are gathering at the university in Tacoma between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday to play hopscotch, listen to music, eat barbecue and enjoy the sunny weather.
