LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Los Angeles man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after his roommate’s body was found in a closet.

Police say a woman called the front desk of the Mission Area station Monday and said she’d heard someone was trying to dispose of a body in the Panorama City area.

Detectives went to an apartment where they found the body of a 48-year-old woman who apparently had been in the closet for several days. Her name wasn’t disclosed.

Investigators say it appears the woman was killed during an argument with her roommate, who’d been trying to evict her.

Fifty-eight-year-old Mario Villalobos was arrested. He remains jailed on $1 million bail. It’s unclear whether he has a lawyer.
