CHARLESTOWN, N.H. (AP) - State police are searching for two men who they say tied up a 60-year-old woman during a robbery at her Charlestown home.

Authorities say the men surprised the woman when she let her dog out on Sunday night. The woman fought back, but the men overpowered her, tied her up and left her in the basement.

She was found nine hours later by a contractor doing work on the home. State police say she was in critical condition when she was found because of an existing medical condition. She remains hospitalized in stable condition.

A video surveillance system at the woman’s home captured images of the two men.

Authorities say they stole jewelry, as well as gold and silver coins and bars.
