CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Both sides in a lawsuit over potentially tainted groundwater outside Pavillion have agreed to suspend proceedings in the case pending the upcoming release of a state report.

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality initially planned to release a report late last year on groundwater testing in the Pavillion area. Now the DEQ is targeting early July.

Jeff and Rhonda Locker have sued Encana Oil and Gas USA. They allege gas development near their property contaminated their groundwater. Encana denies the allegations.

Now both sides agree to temporarily hold off on hearing from expert witnesses in the case pending the release of the DEQ report.

A consultant for the department last year sampled water from 13 domestic water wells near Pavillion. Quality assurance review for the testing took longer than expected.
