SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Friends and family of a woman and a toddler killed last weekend by a drunken driver unleashed their anger on a San Francisco Bay Area suspect Tuesday.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1KhFdNI ) Wednesday that prosecutors have not filed formal charges against 35-year-old Brian Jones.

Jones appeared in court, but prosecutors said they needed more time before deciding on charges.

He was told to return to court May 28.

The crash killed 40-year-old Esperanza Morales and her 14-month-old daughter.

In front of court, people yelled “killer!” and “murderer!” at him and insisted he didn’t deserve to be free on bail.

Police say Jones crashed his Corvette into an apartment complex Saturday evening, killing the victims outside.

Jones’ attorney Ernesto Castillo says Jones is “truly remorseful for what happened.”

Jones is free $350,000 bail he posted Sunday.
