CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - An inmate at the U.S. Penitentiary Hazelton faces charges of stabbing another inmate with a handmade weapon.

U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II says a federal grand jury in Clarksburg indicted 28-year-old Deonte Spicer on Tuesday. Spicer is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm.

Ihlenfeld says in a news release that the other inmate was stabbed multiple times during an altercation in February.
