RESTON, Va. (AP) - The nonprofit Public Interest Registry that manages the .org web domain for nonprofit organizations is launching a new .ngo domain for non-governmental organizations.

The Reston, Virginia-based group is announcing Wednesday the creation of a new bundle of web domains that will set non-governmental organizations apart online. The group is also launching a new set of online services for nonprofits called OnGood.

Organizers say OnGood is designed to be the first online global director of nonprofits and non-governmental organizations. The site provides tools to help groups showcase their missions, fundraising campaigns and multimedia content.

Internet users can use OnGood to search for non-governmental organizations by cause, location and keywords.
