BUCHANAN, N.Y. (AP) - The Indian Point nuclear plant has sued a former employee for at least $50,000 to cover the cost of items he’s accused of stealing.

The Journal News reports (https://lohud.us/1KgHdWx ) Indian Point’s operator Entergy says Christopher Albea conspired with a co-worker to steal metal from the company

Albea was arrested in 2013 in a conspiracy to steal thousands of pounds of copper wires, tools and other property that were later sold to scrap dealers. The case was adjourned without a plea or conviction and is sealed.

Albea was fired in 2013. The Journal News says he couldn’t be reached for comment.

His co-conspirator pleaded guilty in 2013 to grand larceny and received five years probation.
