NEW YORK (AP) - A 12-year-old boy has been struck and killed by a livery cab in Upper Manhattan.

Police say the boy was crossing the street when he was struck just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

It happened on Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard between 149th and 150th streets.

The boy - identified by police as Ervi Secundino - was taken to Harlem Hospital where he died.

Police say the driver stayed at the scene.

The investigating is continuing.
