PHOENIX (AP) - Bond has been set at $50,000 for a Phoenix man accused of throwing his girlfriend to the ground and their year-old son against a wall.

Phoenix police say 19-year-old Edgar Daniel Galvez Lopez was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of one count of child abuse with intent and one count of assault with intent.

He didn’t have an attorney at his initial court appearance Wednesday.

Police say Lopez allegedly grabbed his girlfriend’s hair on April 20 and threw her onto the floor of their home.

They say the two got into an argument over the woman not making Lopez a meal.

Lopez then allegedly threw his son against the wall above the couch.

Court documents show the child was taken to the hospital, where doctors say he suffered a skull fracture.
