STAUNTON, Va. (AP) - Police say a Virginia shooting suspect has died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after a traffic stop.

WHSV-TV (https://bit.ly/1dM5I3S ) reports police pulled over 56-year-old Willa C. Good on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County after authorities say she shot 57-year-old Ralph E. Siron several times Tuesday morning. A short time after the shooting, Staunton Police pulled Good over. After trying to make contact with the woman, Staunton Police say she shot and killed herself. A gun was recovered inside the vehicle.

Siron was rushed to University of Virginia Medical Center.

A spokesman with the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville says Good was a registered nurse and employee there.

Police are still investigating the shooting. It is unclear Good’s relationship with Siron or a motive for the crime.
