PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Farmers, agricultural businesses and public officials are gathering in Deadwood for the South Dakota Governor’s Agricultural Summit.
The state Department of Agriculture announced Tuesday the summit will be held July 9 and 10 at the Lodge at Deadwood Gaming Resort.
Secretary of Agriculture Lucas Lentsch says the gathering is meant to discuss successes and challenges in agriculture.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard will present the 2015 Ag Ambassador Award, and Lentsch will offer an address on the state of agriculture.
