CINCINNATI (AP) - A Cincinnati councilman running for U.S. Senate is getting hitched.

The Cincinnati Enquirer (https://cin.ci/1QgNQMq) reports that after walking through Washington Park in Cincinnati on Monday evening, P.G. Sittenfeld dropped to one knee in front of historic Music Hall. He asked Sarah Coyne to marry him.

And she said yes.

The couple met on a blind date after the 2013 council election. The 26-year-old Coyne is in her third year of medical school at the University of Cincinnati.

The 30-year-old Democratic city councilman and Senate candidate expects their wedding to be in early 2016.
