HENRICO, Va. (AP) - Officials say two people are in stable condition at VCU Medical Center after apparently being struck by lightning at a middle school in Henrico County.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1KNoR01 ) reports the two victims were at Pocahontas Middle School in Henrico to watch their granddaughter play in a girls soccer game Wednesday evening.

Officials asked spectators and players to disperse because of bad weather shortly before the pair was apparently struck about 5:45 p.m.

The soccer game was one of several athletic events at the school Wednesday evening.

It was not clear exactly where on school grounds the two were when the accident happened.
