NEW YORK (AP) - The upcoming season of “Food Network Star” will have a New York accent.

Three of the 12 contestants in the reality show’s 11th season either live or work within New York City’s five boroughs.

The Food Network says 47-year-old TV producer Sita Lewis lives in Hackensack, N.J. and teaches cooking classes to kids in Harlem.

Thirty-one-year-old Dom Tesoriero of Staten Island runs New York’s first mac ‘n cheese food truck, while 26-year-old Rue Rusike (Roo-SEE’-kay) of Queens works as a private chef.

The show’s season premiere will air on June 7. The winner will be crowned on Aug. 16.

Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay will return as mentors and judges.

“Food Network Star” debuted in 2005. It was originally called “The Next Food Network Star.”
