FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Authorities in Fargo say the human remains pulled from the Red River in downtown Fargo Thursday are those of a 36-year-old woman.

Police say the woman was from Fargo. Authorities have not released her name.

The body was found near the First Avenue Bridge by three fishermen.

Personnel from the Fargo Fire Department, as well as emergency and rescue crews were dispatched to the scene.

Lt. Joel Vettel says an autopsy will be conducted to determine the person’s cause of death.
