BOSTON (AP) - Boston police are trying to identify suspects and a motive in the city’s ninth homicide of the year.

Officers were called to the city’s Roxbury section at about 4 a.m. Thursday and found a man who had collapsed next to a car and was bleeding from gunshot wounds. The Boston Globe reports (https://bit.ly/1cbBTbS ) the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness told the Globe that he heard six gunshots followed by screaming and someone shouting, “No! No! No!”

The victim’s name hasn’t been released. No arrests have been announced.

The shooting was the city’s ninth homicide of the year. There were 14 homicides at this time last year.
