LIBERTY, Miss. (AP) - Liberty aldermen have appointed police officer Brad Bellipanni to the position of police chief.

The Enterprise-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1AHgSf8) the 42-year-old Bellipanni has worked with the department since July. He replaces Nathan?Toney in the position.

Bellipanni went to work for the McComb Police Department in 2004 and later worked for the Pike County Sheriff’s Office before going to work for the town of Liberty.

Aldermen also hired two part-time police officers Tuesday night.
