ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - A large building used for livestock shows and other ag-related events will be relocated from the Rapides Parish Coliseum grounds so it can be used by Louisiana State University of Alexandria’s rodeo team.

The building, called the Lewis-Odom Agricultural Complex, had been scheduled for demolition as part of the Coliseum renovation project. Instead, it will be disassembled and moved to a farm near LSUA for use by the rodeo team.

The Town Talk reports (https://townta.lk/1dPpg7q ) Rapides Parish police jurors agreed this week to give the barn to LSUA, but the paperwork of an intergovernmental agreement will have to be prepared, and the matter will come back before jurors for official approval.
