CODY, Wyo. (AP) - Investigators say distracted driving may have played a role in a three-car crash northeast of Cody that killed a 76-year-old man.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Todd Hardesty tells The Cody Enterprise (https://goo.gl/2sdSAQ ) that Ivan Christopherson, of Cody, was driving on the Powell Highway on Tuesday afternoon when an 81-year-old driver in the opposite lane crossed the centerline and caused a head-on crash. Another car was hit after the initial collision, injuring a 77-year-old woman.

Christopherson died at the scene, and the 81-year-old driver was hospitalized.

No charges have been filed.
