TULARE, Calif. (AP) - Police have arrested seven people suspected in a shooting at a Central California grocery store that critically injured two people.

Tulare Police Sgt. Andrew Garcia said Thursday that five of those arrested are teenagers. Investigators say the shooting was gang-related.

It happened Wednesday night at Foods Co. in Tulare.

Police say a fight started at the store, when one person was shot.

Garcia says at first police believed the person was stabbed, but further investigation proved otherwise.

A store employee who tried to help the victim was also shot.

Police say they used surveillance video to identify the get-away vehicle and make the arrests.

Police say that all seven - ages 17 to 22 - have been booked on suspicion of attempted homicide and gang charges. Their names were not released.
