REXBURG, Idaho (AP) - Four law enforcement officers have been cleared in the fatal shooting of an eastern Idaho man.

Madison County Prosecutor Sid Brown in a report obtained by the Post Register (https://bit.ly/1bAGIea) on Wednesday says 41-year-old Darryl K. Myler of Driggs fired four times at the officers with a 9mm handgun after robbing a pharmacy.

The report says the officers fired 28 rounds in return during the Jan. 24 exchange of gunfire, hitting Myler six times.

Brown in his review of the investigation by the Eastern Idaho Critical Incident Response Team says three Rexburg Police officers and a Madison County Sheriff’s deputy acted legally and were justified in using deadly force.

The report says rounds fired by Myler struck near the officers, but none were injured.
