CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A Natrona County man has been accused of dragging his horse behind a pickup truck.

A Natrona County Sheriff’s Office report says Dennis Good has been cited for misdemeanor animal cruelty.

It says Good denied dragging the horse.

According to the report, Good told deputies that his mare was acting aggressive so he decided to separate it from its colt by tying her to his truck and walking her to a neighbor’s home.

Deputies say they found injuries to the mare’s neck, nose and legs.

They also reported finding pools of blood on the road in front of Good’s home and about 200 feet of drag marks they believe were caused by the mare’s back hind feet.

Good is scheduled for a court appearance May 15.
