POWELL, Wyo. (AP) - The Powell and Cody areas lost power Wednesday morning because of a problem that occurred while crews were working on a regional transmission line.

The Powell Tribune reports power went out around 9:15 a.m. and was about half an hour later in the city of Powell and about 20 minutes after that in the city of Cody.

Western Area Power Administration spokeswoman Kara Lamb says the outage was caused by crews who were reconfiguring a line as part of general maintenance.

The Western Area Power Administration is a part of the U.S. Department of Energy, supplying electricity to many local utility companies.
