ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - SeaWorld Orlando’s animal rescue team has returned a manatee and four green sea turtles to the wild after rehabilitating them.

The manatee was returned to intercoastal waters near Titusville, and the sea turtles went back to beaches along Florida’s east coast on Wednesday.

The manatee had a collapsed lung and was having trouble with buoyancy after it was hit by a watercraft in the Indian River near Titusville on Florida’s Space Coast.

The male manatee weighed only 445 pounds when he was taken for rehabilitation at the beginning of the year but now weighs 514 pounds.

The turtles had wounds and were emaciated after getting tangled up in fishing lines.
