SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Police say a 13-year-old girl fought off a man who forced his way into her house after following her home from school.

KNTV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1Klu2U7) that the San Jose Police say the man who followed her Tuesday may be the same one who tried to sexually assault a 28-year-old woman in a public restroom at a Japanese grocery store.

Home surveillance video shows him pushing the teen up against the wall before she got away.

The girl says the man appeared to record the encounter on his phone and smelled strongly of either alcohol or cologne.

He left before police arrived.

Police on Wednesday released surveillance photos of the man from both locations.

They described him as a white man about 30 years old with a medium height, thin build and beard.
