BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) - The Bossier City Fire Department has recovered the body of a man from the Red River and Bossier City police are investigating to determine if it’s that of a man who jumped from the Texas Street Bridge on May 3.

KTBS-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1cdQ7Jk ) at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, people who were fishing at the A.R.T. Parkway boat launch reported seeing what appeared to be a body in the river and notified authorities.

The body was recovered approximately one mile south of the Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge by fire department crews and turned over to the Bossier Parish Coroner’s Office for an autopsy and identification.

Deputies with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted with the recovery.
