CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - A federal judge has denied bond for a Charlotte man who is accused of selling corporate trade secrets to the Chinese government.

Local media outlets report the indictment against Xiwen Huang remains sealed, and government lawyers have not publicly stated what he has been charged with.

During a hearing on Friday, prosecutors told U.S. Magistrate David Keesler the investigation continues and that the case extends to two unidentified companies.

Huang is currently being held in the Mecklenburg County jail and is listed as a federal inmate.
