TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Pierce County prosecutors have charged a man arrested in relation to a drive-by shooting that left a Tacoma man dead with first-degree murder.

The News Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1Kr59GE ) that prosecutors charged Alexander Kitt on Friday with murder charges, plus first-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Brandon Morris was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Morris and four friends went to the convenience store for candy on May 1 and were in front of an apartment complex when an SUV rolled down the alley. Somebody opened fire from the backseat. Morris was hit by at least one of the bullets. He died Wednesday.

Kitt was scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
