LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Supreme Court has affirmed the conviction and three life sentences of an Omaha man for his role in killing a drug dealer and two of the dealer’s sons during a home invasion robbery.

Anthony Davis was convicted last year of three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Prosecutors say Davis and another man shot to death 44-year-old Miguel Avalos, 18-year-old Miguel Avalos Jr. and 16-year-old Jose Avalos after breaking into their home in July 2012 to steal drugs and money.

On Friday, the high court rejected Davis’ arguments that a judge should have declared a mistrial after a witness testified that Davis had served prison time before and that there was not enough evidence presented to convict him.
